Sound Alternative Band

Born and bred in Detroit’s Musical Heritage of Motown, R&B, and funk, “The Sound Alternative” is an 9-piece horn group that plays the best dance music from the 1940’s through the present. Because of our wide range of musical styles and genres, we will keep your dance floor full with people of all ages.

Our members all sing. This plethora of talent lends a rich diversity of music and a polished, well rehearsed sound. The Sound Alternative is a self-contained group, providing the best in music, sound, lighting and atmosphere for your event. With the aid of our state of the art sound and lighting systems we create an entertainment phenomenon that you and your friends will remember forever.

This isn’t just any band. Our members have performed with Ambrosia, Danny and the Juniors, The Drifters, Fleetwood Mac, Leslie Gore, The Spinners, The Temptations, and the Tokens just to name a few.
